Ballack and Loew wants improvement by Germany

Star player Michael Ballack has spoken about the need to improve the level of the game in order to seal a place for Germany in the South Africa play-offs. Ballack is also mentioning the fact that none of his current team mates are playing for big teams in Europe.

“It would be good if other Germany players could find their way to playing for big European sides. Germany didn’t become world champions in 1990 by chance – seven of that side were playing in Italy” says the Chelsea midfielder.

On the 10th of October Germany is facing Russia in a vital and tough away game in Moscow. The germans are currently on the top sport of the group by four points before Guus Hiddink’s Russia, but they have a game in hand.

Not only Ballack is calling out for improvement, but coach Joachim Loew has also said that his side need to re-capture their form.

“We have not always exploited our potential in recent games like I had imagined we would”, Loew says.

Germany will have two games to play before the clash in Moscow. First off is a friendly with the World Cup host South Africa before the qualifier with Azerbaijan on the 9th of September.
